Parents are strongly encouraged to get involved with the music program! Volunteers are always needed to help oversee the kids at football games and other trips, to help with the concession stand, to oversee fundraisers, etc. Parent participation is an important role in helping the program run smoothly!
In order to volunteer, there are requirements that have been implemented by law and by school policy. The most prominent requirement is that all volunteers must obtain clearances in order to be involved with the kids. The only exception to this requirement is for those who are able to volunteer at the concession stand, since they're only dealing with other adults behind a counter.

Volunteers need to have both a PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and a PA Child Abuse History Clearance (both of which are currently free for people applying as volunteers):

FBI Fingerprint Verification
FBI Fingerprinting is required if you have not lived in the state of PA for the past 10 consecutive years. If you have lived in the state of PA for the past 10 consecutive years you can fill out the FBI Fingerprint Waiver:

If you do not meet that criteria and need to have the fingerprinting done, prints can be taken at the Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit in Monaca. There is a cost associated with fingerprinting, amounting to approximately $25. Please visit this BVIU web page for details:
